Three injured including doctor in bike-car collision
Communication Assistant, Daudpur/Ekma (Saran). A horrific road accident took place on Chhapra-Siwan main road NH-531 on Tuesday near Mane Mathia village of Ekma police station area. Three people, including a doctor and a woman, were seriously injured in a massive head-on collision between a bike and a car. After the accident, the car suddenly caught fire, creating an atmosphere of chaos at the spot.
According to eyewitnesses, the collision was so severe that a fire broke out in the front part of the car. It was fortunate that the doctor driving the car fell out of the vehicle due to the impact of the collision, which saved his life.
The people present nearby showed promptness and took out the injured and immediately took them to Ekma Community Health Center for treatment.
The injured have been identified as Pankaj Kumar, a doctor working at Jalalpur Community Health Center (resident of Chainpur, Siwan), bike driver Rasid Hussain (resident of Ekma) and his wife Nusrat Jahan.
Seeing the serious condition of all three after first aid, the doctors referred them to Chhapra Sadar Hospital for better treatment.
According to the information, doctor Pankaj Kumar was going on duty at Jalalpur Community Health Center in his CNG car. Whereas Rasid Hussain was taking his wife to Chapra by bike for treatment.
Meanwhile, both the vehicles collided head-on near Mane Mathiya village. After the accident, the people present there got scared as soon as the car caught fire.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the team of Ekma police station and fire department reached the spot. The fire brigade personnel brought the fire in the car under control after a lot of effort. The police removed the damaged vehicles from the road and restored traffic.
Local people say that if the doctor had not fallen out of the car in time, the accident could have been even worse.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident. Initially, high speed and carelessness are being considered as the reasons for the accident. After this incident, traffic in the area was also affected for some time.
