On Thursday night, on the day of her marriage anniversary, she committed suicide by hanging herself on the fan's handle by going inside her room in Nai Basti Colony of the city's Kotwali Sungarhi area. Police have sent the body for post-mortem. Amidst the happiness of the wedding anniversary, there was mourning in the house.
Thursday was the wedding anniversary of Akash Gangwar (30 years), resident of Nai Basti. There was a festive atmosphere in the house and preparations were going on for the evening programme. In the morning, Akash had a minor dispute with his wife Preeti Gangwar over some issue, but the matter was resolved at that time.
After this in the evening, Akash went to his room and closed the door from inside. When there was no movement from the room for a long time, wife Preeti became suspicious. At around seven in the evening, when he peeped inside through the lattice outside the room, the ground slipped beneath his feet. Akash's body was hanging inside the room.
When the noise was raised, a crowd of nearby people including relatives gathered. He was admitted to a private hospital in the city in a private vehicle. There the doctors declared him dead. The police reached here on information and sent the body for post-mortem. The condition of the relatives is miserable due to crying.
Told his wife on the wedding anniversary - I will give you a big surprise
Akash's wedding anniversary was on Thursday, along with the preparations being made at home, he was also talking about going there when his in-laws were in the city. After this, when he told his wife Preeti that today is the anniversary, I will give you such a surprise that you will remember, then Preeti might have been imagining some beautiful gift in her mind.
Little did he know that this sentence that gave hope for happiness would become the darkest chapter of his life. It happened that on the day of celebration in the house, the vermilion of a married woman was ruined. Now, from the house from where the sound of cake cutting and music was supposed to come in the evening, now only the screams of Preeti and her relatives are echoing.
On getting information about the incident, he reached the spot with police force. Relatives took him to the hospital. Doctors have declared him dead. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
