Jagran correspondent, Chaibasa. A cowardly act of Naxalites has come to light on Saturday in the highly Naxal affected Saranda forest area of West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand. Two soldiers of CRPF's Cobra Battalion-209 were injured in a powerful IED blast laid by Naxalites near Chadridera village under Chhotanagra police station. The incident occurred when the security forces were carrying out an anti-Naxal search operation.
Massive explosion and condition of soldiers
During the anti-Naxal operation, as soon as the joint team of security forces reached near Chadridera village, there was a massive explosion in the IED laid in ambush. Two soldiers have been injured in this incident:
Immediate rescue and airlift
Immediately after the blast, additional security forces were sent to the area and the entire area was cordoned off. The injured soldiers were safely taken out of the forest and in view of their serious condition, they were immediately airlifted by helicopter and sent to Ranchi, where their treatment is going on.
The incidents will not reduce the morale of the soldiers.
