Digital Desk, Indore. Amidst the increasing cases of cyber fraud, a case has come to light in Neemuch that an elderly couple was rescued from the trap of fraudsters through the awareness of their daughter. The surprising thing is that the thugs mentally tortured the couple by keeping them in digital arrest for 15 days and even made them break an FD worth Rs 60 lakh. When the daughter became suspicious in time, she informed the cyber cell, due to which a major fraud was averted.
According to the information, the woman living in Indore, sensing the changed mood of her 67-year-old mother and 74-year-old father, residents of Vikas Nagar, Neemuch, informed SI Shivam Thakkar of Cyber Crime Branch, Indore. On December 22, information was given to Cyber Cell Neemuch in-charge Pradeep Shinde. On the instructions of SP Ankit Jaiswal, the cyber cell team reached the couple's house in just seven minutes and discussed for about two hours.

There is no such thing as digital arrest. When police and other agencies take any action, they either summon the concerned or go themselves. Does not do virtual enquiry. There is an appeal to the people to report such cases to the nearest police station. Complain to the cyber cell, so that incidents of cyber crime can be stopped. - Ankit Jaiswal, SP Neemuch.
