A few days before the marriage, the young man, locked in a room in village Bhalwa of Jansath, first killed his girlfriend by slitting her neck with a knife and then slit his throat. He also died. Both were from Scheduled Caste and the houses are opposite to each other. Their love affair was not acceptable to the family.
The girl was going to get married on 8th February and the young man was going to get married on 18th. On the other hand, Jansath police station in-charge Inspector Vinod Kumar said that a case of murder has been registered against the accused youth Rohit on the complaint of girl Pragati's brother Pradeep.
Pragati and Rohit's love story comes to a tragic end in Bhalwa village. The courtyard of the house where the Shehnai was to be played after three days was bloodstained. Due to the wrong decision of the love couple, there is chaos in their families and there is mourning in the village. The question on everyone's mind was what was the need to take such a step.
On Thursday evening, lover Rohit first murdered his girlfriend Pragati by slitting her neck with a knife, and then committed suicide by slitting her neck. After the incident, a crowd of people gathered outside Pragati's house. People were saying that wedding preparations were going on in his house. The family members were very happy that Pragati's marriage would take place with great pomp.
The condition of Rohit's house is also no different. The death of their son has left the parents devastated. Some people are also discussing about love affairs, social pressure and hastily arranged marriages. Due to social prestige, Pragati's relationship was hastily arranged in Delhi, so that she could forget all this marriage, but no one probably had any idea that they would give up their lives.

The deceased was the only son
Rohit was the only son of his parents. Both the elder sisters are married. Whereas, Pragati used to work in a company in Gurugram. On the other hand, the happiness of marriage turned into mourning in both the houses. There was resentment in both the families regarding the love affair of Pragati and Rohit. The relative had arranged Pragati's relationship in a hurry in Delhi, so that she could forget all this after marriage. No one had any idea that such an incident could happen.
