State Bureau, Jagran, Kolkata. BJP has accused Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee of trying to create riots between Hindus and Muslims.
BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia, while raising questions on Mamata's silence on Trinamool MLA Madan Mitra's controversial remarks about Lord Ram, said that on Mamata's instructions, Trinamool leaders are making objectionable remarks about Hindu gods and goddesses to please a community.
It is known that Madan Mitra had declared Shri Ram a Muslim. Bhatia questioned why Mamata did not dismiss Madan Mitra from the party? Why was an FIR not registered against him? This shows that Mamta is trying to create riot between Hindus and Muslims.
Bengal BJP shared the video of the speech of MLA Madan Mitra from Kamarhatti in North 24 Parganas district on its X handle on Thursday, calling it an insult to Hindu sentiments. In the video shared, Mitra can be heard making controversial remarks on Lord Ram at a public meeting. However, Dainik Jagran has not verified the authenticity of this video.
While sharing the video on Twitter, the state BJP wrote – This is a continuous insult to our culture and history. This is a clear message to illegal Bangladeshis that TSC is the most 'anti-Hindu' party, and hence represents their beliefs. BJP also challenged TSC to take action against Mitra.
