Jagran correspondent, Nawanagar (Ballia). The family ID scheme of the government is proving to be very useful for the people. Those families who do not have ration card but their family ID has been made, they will be able to get the benefits of all government schemes just like ration card.
Now there will be no need to submit separate documents or visit the office for any scheme. The government has also made arrangements that when the head of a family completes 60 years of age, old age pension will be prepared on the basis of family ID only.
For this, no additional process of application or verification will be required. So far, family ID of 4326 families has been made in Nawanagar block. The process for the remaining families is continuing.
To get a family ID made, people can apply by going to the Economics and Statistics office located at Vikas Bhawan. Apart from this, this facility is also available online sitting at home.
Block Development Officer of Navanagar, Vinod Kumar Bind said that family IDs of about 4326 families have been made in the block. With this, the benefits of government schemes will be available on time and employment related information will also reach the families directly.
