Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated Mayawati on her 70th birthday. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wished him on his birthday and wished him good health. Posting on social media platform X, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote that he prays to Lord Shri Ram for Mayawati's long life and good health. Along with the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak also sent greetings to the BSP chief on his birthday.

Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav praised Mayawati on her birthday. He posted on Instagram that hearty congratulations to respected Ms. Mayawati ji on her birthday. Best wishes to him for a healthy, independent life and meaningful activism. With the wish that he continues to fight continuously day and night for the dignity and rights of the exploited, deprived, oppressed, neglected and humiliated society against the dominant people and the way he challenged the anti-constitutional BJP and his comrades, I wish him a happy birthday again.

The BSP supremo turned 70 today i.e. on January 15, 2026. He took over as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh at the age of 40. Mayawati was born in an ordinary family in Delhi and worked as a teacher before entering politics. Influenced by Bahujan Samaj Party founder Kanshi Ram, she joined politics and soon emerged as his main successor.

Was the Chief Minister of UP four times

Mayawati took oath as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh four times and became the first Dalit woman Chief Minister of India. His tenure from 2007 to 2012 is especially remembered because during that time he formed a government with absolute majority and succeeded in a new political experiment through social engineering (alliance of Dalits and Brahmins).

Administratively, Mayawati is seen as an Iron Lady, who was known for her strict working style and excellent law and order. Many expressways, parks and monuments were built in Uttar Pradesh during his reign. Which includes huge sites built in honor of Dr. BR Ambedkar and Kanshi Ram. Even today, Mayawati is considered a symbol of self-respect for crores of deprived and Dalits in Indian politics and her role as the supreme leader of BSP is very important.
