Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. The youth riding the bike opened fire when the police stopped them. To protect themselves, the police surrounded them and stopped them. This case pertains to Mahob Bandhe of Belipar police station. Police recovered two pistols, five cartridges and a bike from all three.

They were brought to the police station and interrogated. A case was registered under the Arms Act and presented in the court. From where all three were sent to jail. Several cases are already registered against the two accused. CO Bansgaon Anuj Singh said that at 3:15 am on Friday, Belipar police had received information about miscreants taking away arms and cartridges. Immediately the policemen along with Sub-Inspector Indrajit Kushwaha reached Mahob Bandhe located on the Kauriram-Gorakhpur road.

After some time, three suspicious youths were seen going away on a white bike. When the police stopped them, all three started firing at the police. Being alert, the police retaliated and laid siege and arrested the three miscreants from the spot.

During interrogation, the three miscreants have been identified as Jitendra Nishad, resident of Jungle Akhalas Kunwar Tola, Kharohwaan police station, Belipar, Akash Nishad, resident of Ekla Bazar, Gida police station and Vinay Nishad, resident of Bhauwapar, police station Belipar.

A 315 bore pistol, two cartridges, a 32 bore pistol, three cartridges, a kiosk, bike and three mobile phones were recovered from the trio. In this, a case is already registered against Akash Nishad in Gida police station in the year 2019 and against Vinay Nishad in the year 2016 and 2022 in Belipar police station. All three were sent to jail after a case was registered under the Arms Act and firing with intent to kill. A youth was arrested with a pistol and cartridges. Gida police arrested a youth during night patrolling. A pistol, cartridges, Rs 10,000 in cash and a bike were recovered from him. During interrogation, the youth was identified as Dheeraj Sahni, resident of Ekla Bazar of Gida police station. A case was registered and he was presented in the court on Friday. From where he was sent to jail.

Inspector in-charge Ashwani Pandey said that on Thursday night he was patrolling along with policemen in-charge of Piprauli outpost. During this time a young man riding a bike was found suspiciously.

When he was stopped and interrogated, he could not answer properly. During the search, an illegal pistol and cartridges were recovered from him. After checking his criminal history, a case was registered against him in Gida and Belipar police stations. The accused youth has been sent to jail.
