MNREGA scheme stalled in 26 gram sabhas.

Samvad Sutra, Jagatpur (Rae Bareli). There are 39 gram sabhas in the development block, in which 7780 job card holding workers are registered under the MNREGA scheme. Of these, MNREGA work is stopped in 26 gram sabhas, workers are getting employment only in 13 gram sabhas. Unemployed workers are being forced to migrate to other cities.
Due to closure of work, it is becoming difficult for job card holders to run their families. Unemployed youth and workers are being forced to work as laborers in other cities.
MNREGA workers Chhotalal, Nandlal Hiralal, Surju, Maiku, Arjun, Rajaram told that they did not get work for three months. Because of which work has to be done in other cities.
The condition of workers employed in MNREGA works in big gram sabhas has also become worse. One laborer is being given employment in Bhik village, 46 in Chichauli, 8 in Dhobaha, 31 in Dhuta, 16 in Hardi, 13 in Khajuri, 14 in Kusmi, 7 in Makhdoom Pur, 3 in Purab village, 6 in Sudama Pur, 1 in Tanghan, 44 in Tikatha Musalle Pur and only 9 workers are being given employment in Udwa Gram Sabha.
Block Development Officer Praveen Kumar Tripathi says that all village heads and secretaries have been instructed to provide employment to workers through raw works in Gram Sabha.
