Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Cases of issuing fake degrees in the name of BRA Bihar University are continuously coming to light. Now a dubious degree issued in the name of a university has been found in Jammu and Kashmir.
The degree has been sent to the university for verification by Jammu and Kashmir Crime Branch. Prima facie the degree is said to be fake. It is being told that the signature of the then Deputy Registrar is also forged. Also there is a difference in the format of the degree.
The name of the college is written on it Shyam Nandan Sahay. Besides, Muzaffarpur is also written in front of the name of the college. The short name of the college is written in the degree issued by the university.
This degree has been issued in the name of Mohd. Aijaz Hussain. It is recorded that the student has passed the Bachelor of General (BA General) examination held in July 2004. In this the name of the college is mentioned as SN Sahay. Jammu and Kashmir Crime Branch has sent a letter to the university demanding its verification.
It will be verified by the University Examination Department on the basis of TR and other records. After this its report will be sent to the Crime Branch of Jammu and Kashmir.
Registrar of BRA Bihar University, Prof. Sameer Kumar Sharma said that the degree has been sent for verification by Jammu and Kashmir Crime Branch. Its report has been sought. The report will be sent soon.
Many fake degrees have been found from Gujarat, Punjab to Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra.
Fake degrees issued in the name of BRA Bihar University have been found in Gujarat, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Maharashtra.
In July, 70 suspicious degrees were sent to the university by the Gandhinagar Crime Branch of Gujarat for investigation. Most of these were found to be fake. Before this, dozens of fake degrees of BHMS have been received from Maharashtra to Gujarat. Many times, when there is doubt about the degree during investigation on the basis of complaint, it is sent to the university for verification. After verification its report is sent.
