To connect people with folk art, 26 relic sets of musical instruments purchased earlier have been handed over to Bhatkhande Music Institute and Music School, Hariharpur, Azamgarh. Instructions have been given to purchase new musical instrument sets soon for distribution in Gram Panchayats in the remaining districts.
Along with this, cultural programs will be promoted by coordinating with Sangeet Natak Academy, Uttar Pradesh Folk Tribe Culture Institute, Bharatendu Natya Academy and other institutions, resorts and hotels. For this, nodal officers will also be nominated for all 75 districts.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh, while reviewing the departmental projects and activities at Tourism Bhawan on Thursday, gave clear instructions to the officials that all the projects of the Tourism Department should be completed within the stipulated time and any obstacles should be resolved immediately.
Financial approval of 19 projects included in the approved action plan will be issued soon. The minister also reviewed those schemes which have not been started yet. By strengthening the tourism and culture sector, significant contribution will be made towards the goal of one trillion dollar economy of the state, and employment opportunities for the local people will also increase.
He clearly said that the officers should not create unnecessary hurdles in any work, but should insist on finding solutions. The Minister also asked to speed up the process of increasing the frequency of Radio Jaighosh, so that the broadcast can reach more areas.
He also said that the new culture policy of the state will be prepared in accordance with the new culture policy of the Central Government. Many senior officers of the department including Principal Secretary Amrit Abhijat were present in the meeting.
