State Bureau, Lucknow. The night shelters built to protect the destitute and destitute people from the cold will be monitored through CCTV cameras. Local Body Director Anuj Kumar Jha has instructed all the District Magistrates to install CCTV cameras everywhere to keep an eye on the night shelter facilities.
He said that most of the night shelters receive complaints about non-washing of sheets and blankets and regular cleaning of toilets. Therefore, now CCTV cameras should be installed to monitor the arrangements. There will be no possibility of any kind of disturbance due to this. Even if something happens, it can be rectified immediately.
He has also instructed the civic authorities to nominate nodal officers for all night shelters and to deploy a care person in the night shelters. Their name and mobile number will be written on the gate of the night shelter.
He has given instructions to provide clean sheets, pillows, blankets, hot water, toilets and first aid to the people living in night shelters and shelter homes to protect them from cold.
