Jagran correspondent, Bhubaneswar. Cold wave continues in Odisha for the last few days. Temperatures have been recorded below normal in many cities. The shivering cold along with the cold wind has increased the problems of the people. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for three districts on Sunday, December 14.

According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, three districts include Angul, Jharsuguda and Kalahandi districts, where yellow warning has been issued for severe cold wave on Sunday. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of light to moderate fog in the morning in Sundergarh, Kalahandi and Kandhamal districts till December 14.

Residents of these districts have been advised to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the cold. Due to the cold wave, a sharp drop in night temperatures has been recorded across the state.

Today G. of Kandhamal district. The minimum temperature in Udayagiri was recorded at 3.1 degrees Celsius, while it was 5.5 degrees in Phulwani and 6.5 degrees Celsius in Daringbadi. Whereas, a slight increase in the night temperature was recorded in Bhubaneswar, where the mercury stood at 12.6 degrees Celsius.

Other cold districts included Jharsuguda and Rourkela, which recorded minimum temperatures of 7.1 degrees and 7.2 degrees Celsius respectively. The Meteorological Department has said that severe cold is likely to continue in the state for the next 6 to 7 days. During this period, the maximum temperature during the day is expected to be around 29 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature at night is expected to be around 12 degrees Celsius.
