One day difference between two nectar baths of Ardha Kumbh
Haridwar: In this Ardh Kumbh, three Amrit Snans will be held on Mahashivratri, Somvati Amavasya and Vaisakhi, while seven festival baths will also be organized during the period of the fair. But the biggest challenge facing the Akharas along with the fair administration is regarding Mahashivratri and Somvati Amavasya Snan. There is a difference of only one day between these two baths.
The first Amrit Snan of Ardha Kumbh will take place on the festival of Mahashivratri on 6 March 2027. Whereas Somvati Amavasya bath is on 8th March 2027. Amrit bath on this date will be the most challenging.
President of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, Shri Mahant Ravindra Puri said that only three nectar baths are important. But in 2027, only one day is available between Mahashivratri festival and Somvati Amavasya bath. This was also discussed in the meeting organized regarding the fair. This will be considered only after the preparation of the government and the opinion of the Akharas.
Representatives of five Akharas reached the meeting
Representatives of five Akharas participated in the meeting organized regarding Ardh Kumbh. Questions have also been raised regarding the non-arrival of representatives of all the Akharas.
Shri Mahant Sadhananand Giri of Shri Panch Agni Akhara said that the fair administration did not give timely information regarding the meeting. He was also informed by the fair administration a few hours before the meeting. The concerned Akharas should have been informed at least five days in advance for the meeting of the Akharas regarding Ardh Kumbh.
