On Valentine's Day, on Saturday afternoon, a 17-year-old girl from Badopatti village and a 19-year-old youth from Bahabalpur village swallowed poisonous substance due to love affair. Both were found unconscious in the fields of Bahabalpur village near Rana Distributor Canal.

Upon coming to know, the relatives of the girl and the young man reached the spot. Both were taken to Medical College Agroha for treatment. Barwala police station has been informed about the matter. At present both their relatives are refusing to tell anything.

According to the information, the girl from Badopatti and the youth from Bahabalpur studied together in the same school. The love affair between the two was going on since the time they were in ninth grade. Both of them had left studies after 11th class. The relative knew about the love affair.

He was also ready to get both of them married. The girl's relatives said that both of them would get married after attaining adulthood, but the young man was still adamant on the matter of marriage.

When their relatives refused, both of them went to the fields and consumed the poisonous substance. At around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, a villager passing by saw both of them in an unconscious state. Gave information to Sarpanch and other people.

Went to Jalandhar riding a bike

According to the information received, both of them had gone to Nakodar Dargah in Jalandhar (Punjab) on a bike on Friday. Both of them bowed their heads there. Then both of them came back to the village riding a bike. When the relatives came to know about this, they got angry. Then both of them went to the field and consumed the poisonous substance.
