Passengers Please Pay Attention! 37 Trains Reached Patna Late Due To Dense Fog; Amrit Bharat Express 8 Hours Late

Jagran correspondent, Patna. The effect of dense fog in North India was clearly visible on railway operations on Saturday. Due to fog, a total of 37 trains arriving at various stations of the capital including Patna Junction arrived late than their scheduled time.

These trains were running late by 40 minutes to 8 hours, due to which passengers had to face a lot of trouble. According to information received from the Railways, many major long distance trains were seriously affected. Rajendra Nagar Terminal–New Delhi Amrit Bharat Express was delayed by about 8 hours 25 minutes, while Kamakhya–Delhi Brahmaputra Mail was delayed by about seven hours 39 minutes.

Similarly, Bilaspur-Buxar Superfast Express reached Patna area late by more than seven hours. Brahmaputra Mail going from Delhi to Kamakhya was also delayed by about 4 hours 41 minutes.

Apart from this, operation of many other mail and express trains including Kumbh Express, Anand Vihar-Bhagalpur Garib Rath Express was also affected.

Local and MEMU trains were also affected by fog. Gaya-Patna MEMU and Rajgir-Patna Passenger Special were delayed by more than an hour. The delay in trains increased the crowd of passengers on the platforms. Many passengers said that they were forced to wait for a long time in cold and fog. Especially the elderly, women and children had to face more problems.

The Railway Administration has appealed to the passengers to check the status of their train before travelling. According to the administration, the speed of trains is being controlled till the fog conditions become normal, so that safe operation can be ensured.
