22 thousand beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana in Prayagraj will soon get funds.
Jagran correspondent, Prayagraj. PM Awas Yojanaj Under PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0, more than 63 thousand poor families will get benefits in the current financial year. So far, more than 63 thousand people have applied online for PM Awas Urban. Out of these, verification of 22 thousand people has been done by the team of District Urban Development Agency and Revenue Department. The first installment of Rs 50,000 for construction of houses is expected to be transferred to the accounts of the selected beneficiaries in the last week of December.
Government scheme of house for poor families
PM Awas Yojana Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is being operated to ensure that every poor family, be it city or village, has its own house to live in. Making changes to the long running PM Awas Yojana, PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 has been started. Due to changes in Phase 2 PM Awas Yojana, a large number of poor families will get housing. So far, more than 63 thousand people have applied for PM housing in 100 wards of the urban area.
The beneficiary gets Rs 2.50 lakh in three installments.
Project Officer of PM Awas Yojana, DUDA, Pratibha Srivastava said that after completing the scrutiny of 22 thousand documents, the eligibility list has been sent to the government. Funds can be allotted to the accounts of selected beneficiaries soon. The project officer said that for the construction of PM's residence, Rs 2.50 lakh is transferred to the beneficiary's account in three installments. The first installment will be Rs 50 thousand, the second installment will be Rs 1 lakh and the third installment will be Rs 50 thousand.
