Digital Desk. Ousmane Dembele put transfer talk behind him and scored two vital goals for Paris Saint-Germain in a 3-0 win against Lille as his team returned to the top of Ligue 1. Last week, French media reported that 2025 Ballon d'Or winner Dembele had rejected the offer of a new contract.
In the match, Dembele gave the team the lead in the 12th minute itself. His second goal after 18 minutes of the second half was a reminder of why he had received the Ballon d'Or. Despite having four defenders in front of him, Dembélé somehow found space and fired a brilliant shot that went wide of the crossbar and just past goalkeeper Berke Ozer.
Substitute Bradley Barcola took advantage of the weak defense in injury time and scored the third and final goal for the team. PSG now top the points table, two points ahead of Lens, while Lille remains in fourth place. In the other match, Monaco suffered their seventh defeat in eight matches, this time being beaten 3–1 at home to Lorient.
