BJP cuts ticket of woman leader (Photo-PTI)
Digital Desk, New Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party has withdrawn the ticket of its female candidate Pooja More Jadhav from Pune civic elections. Pooja More Jadhav was contesting from Ward No. 2 under the quota of ally party RPI for the BMC elections to be held on January 15.
Pooja Jadhav had received AB form (an important document for filing nomination) by BJP. But an old video of Pooja went viral on social media, after which her candidature from this seat was withdrawn.
Old video of BJP candidate went viral
The video of Pooja Jadhav during the Maratha reservation movement went viral on social media. In this video, Pooja was seen making personal remarks against Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his wife. Pooja's candidature became embroiled in controversy after this old video surfaced.
BJP cut the ticket
Union Minister and BJP MP from Pune Muralidhar Mohol confirmed that Pooja Jadhav has withdrawn her nomination. Pooja More Jadhav called herself a victim of social media trolls after this incident.
Pooja said that 'they spread wrong information about me and tried to show that I do not believe in the ideology of BJP. In view of the trolling, I have consciously decided to withdraw my nomination.
Pooja Jadhav also claimed that all these things about Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis were said by someone else, but these things were shown by linking them to his name.
