Jagran correspondent, Patiala. The first picture of retired IG Amar Singh Chahal, who shot himself due to cyber fraud in Patiala, came out of the hospital on Wednesday evening.
In this picture, retired IG Chahal is seen conscious, the doctor who treated him, Siddharth Garg, said that due to the bullet injury, about one and a half liter of blood had flowed from his body.
In such a situation, the chances of survival of any patient remain 30 to 40 percent. A multidisciplinary medical team led by surgeon Dr Siddharth Garg saved his life, including critical anesthesia management by Dr Arjun Pratap Joshi and surgical assistance by Dr Gurjot Singh.
The complex emergency surgery, which lasted three to four hours, included repairing the ruptured lung and stabilizing fractures of the chest wall bones. Now retired IG Amar Singh Chahal is completely healthy and out of danger.
It is noteworthy that Amar Singh Chahal's condition is out of danger. After getting trapped in cyber fraud, he had attempted suicide by shooting himself.
