Jagran Correspondent, Lucknow: A very serious allegation has been made against the leader of the opposition party in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP from Rae Bareli, Rahul Gandhi. A resident of Karnataka has said there is a threat to Rahul Gandhi's life and he has been threatened twice. Vignesh Shishir of Karnataka has challenged Rahul Gandhi's citizenship and a petition has also been filed in Rae Bareli, from where Rahul Gandhi is the MP.
The controversy is deepening over the hearing of a criminal case involving Rae Bareli MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. BJP leader and plaintiff S. Vignesh Shishir has filed a petition in the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court citing threat to his life. The petition has been listed for hearing before a single bench of Justice Brijraj Singh on Wednesday. During the hearing of the case filed in Rae Bareli, the plaintiff and BJP worker S. Vignesh Shishir demanded transfer of the case citing danger to his life. A petition has been filed in the Lucknow bench of the High Court to transfer the case going on in the MP/MLA court of Rae Bareli against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to the special court of Lucknow regarding his alleged British citizenship. This may be heard on December 17. S. During the hearing in Rae Bareli, Vignesh Shishir alleged that there was threat to his life and that threats were made on 3 November and 5 December and an attempt to attack took place on 12 December. According to the petitioner, Congress workers disrupted the court proceedings. On this basis, case transfer has been demanded.
