Gang war in Ranchi, police admitted the injured to the hospital.
Jagran correspondent, Ranchi. A violent clash broke out between the notorious Sandeep Thana gang and Sanjay Pandey gang on Saturday night in Pandara area of the capital Ranchi.
This incident took place near Manya Tower in Pandara, where both the groups came face to face over the distribution of money after a land deal. The dispute escalated so much that shots were fired from both sides.
In this firing incident, three people were seriously injured by bullets. According to the information, members of both the gangs had reached the spot to collect an amount of more than Rs 50 lakh after a deal related to land sale.
People from both groups were drunk.
After the money came, a dispute started regarding mutual distribution. It is being told that at that time people from both the groups were in an intoxicated state, due to which the dispute became more violent.
First there was an altercation and then within no time both the groups took out their weapons. In this firing incident, Akash and Vikas of Sandeep police station gang were shot. Akash has been hit by one bullet, while Vikas has been hit by three bullets.
There is information that Ravi, associated with Sanjay Pandey gang, was also shot. There was chaos in the area after the incident. On information from the local people, the police reached the spot and the injured were immediately sent to RIMS, where all three are undergoing treatment.
Condition of injured in RIMS stable
According to doctors, at present the condition of all three is said to be stable and are out of danger. Preliminary investigation by the police has revealed that Akash and Vikas opened fire from the Sandeep police station gang, while from the other side, Sanjay Pandey, Ravi and Bablu of the Sanjay Pandey gang opened fire.
After the incident, the police have cordoned off the area and detained many members of both the gangs and are being interrogated. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, senior police officers also reached the spot.
There was an uproar over distribution of money
Kotwali DSP said that this entire incident happened due to mutual dominance and distribution of money between criminal gangs. Police are investigating all aspects and the entire matter will be revealed soon.
He said that all the accused involved in this incident will be identified and sent to jail. The DSP also said that special attention is being kept on the criminals and notorious criminals who have come out of jail in recent times.
A continuous campaign will be conducted to maintain law and order in the city. After this incident, police patrolling has been increased in Pandara and surrounding areas so that any violent incident does not happen again.
Many cases are registered against the members of both the gangs. The police has taken action several times under CCAC at Sandeep police station. The police have cordoned off the entire area.
