Jagran correspondent, Gurugram. A case of road rage attack with a beer bottle and attempted kidnapping of a retired army colonel, who was going home after seeing his ailing father in Medanta Hospital, has come to light. The victim injured in the attack is undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

What is the whole matter?
The incident is said to have taken place on February 21 in Sector 50 police station area. Anil Yadav, 50, a retired army colonel, said in his complaint sent on social media that he was going home by car on February 21 after seeing his ailing father in Medanta Hospital.
His car collided with another vehicle running in the other lane in the Sector 50 area on Vatika Chowk to Faridabad road. When the doors of this car were opened to see, six youths came out of the other car. They pulled the retired colonel out of the car and started beating him.
After beating him with kicks and punches, he was also attacked with a beer bottle. The lights and glass of his car were broken. After this, the accused started trying to take them somewhere else by making them sit in the car, but their car did not move with them. The accused got Rs 30,000 transferred from them through UPI to compensate for the damage caused to the vehicle. After this, due to the gathering of passersby nearby, the accused fled from there.
The accused had come to the wedding ceremony in Badshahpur.
After the case was registered, Sector 50 police station arrested five accused from Gurugram on Monday. They were identified as Pankaj, resident of Niganiwas village of Rewari, Vikas of Bagthala village, Nikhil of Masani village, Sahil and Ankit Kumar of Khedi Talwana village of Mahendragarh district.
Police interrogation revealed that the accused had come to a wedding ceremony in Badshahpur on February 21. Accused Pankaj, Sahil and Ankit work in Nippon Company Rewari. Vikas is studying in BA second year and Nikhil is studying in B.Com second year. All these accused are being interrogated.
