Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal held the second crime meeting of his tenure in the auditorium of the Police Commissioner's office on Wednesday, in which he reviewed 52 police stations in three hours. In the meeting, in-charges of Govind Nagar, Sachendi, Sajeti, Ghatampur, Sen Paschim Para, Bekanganj, Chaubepur, Feelkhana police stations appeared dissatisfied with the working style. Also expressed dissatisfaction on two ACPs.
In the crime meeting, Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal gave clear instructions to all the police stations to stop theft, robbery, crime against women, cyber crime and sale of drugs. He asked for serious disposal of pending cases, IGRS complaints and complaints received at police stations. During this period, the working style of six police officers was found to be very poor and they were also fired. He warned that be alert. If negligence is found in public hearing and deliberations, the police station will be destroyed. In the crime meeting which lasted from 2 pm to 5 pm, instructions were given on many points including pending cases as well as arrest of wanted accused.
Police Commissioner said that 38 declared criminals have been found pending arrest in the city, out of which more are pending in Chakeri and Kotwali area. They have been asked to form a team and arrest him. Along with this, during the review of public complaints, strong objection was expressed on the working style of the police station in-charges who performed less than 80 percent in disposal of complaint applications received at the headquarters level. Regarding IGRS, clear instructions were given that just filing formal report is not acceptable.
Asked to resolve the issues by establishing coordination with the concerned departments. During this period, Mahila police station got the best performance with 94.64 percent disposal. Whereas in Maharajpur it stood last in disposal. The performance of Kotwali, Moolganj, Mahila Thana, Collectorganj, Rawatpur on IGRS portal was satisfactory and objection was raised on the performance of Kalyanpur, Cantonment, Bithoor, Chakeri and Narwal.
South Zone satisfactory in preventive action
While reviewing the preventive actions, the Police Commissioner said that despite the implementation of the Commissionerate system, the expected improvement is still not sufficient. The situation in South Zone was satisfactory in the action taken under Excise, Gangster, Goonda, Arms and Narcotics. Whereas there was a need to take more effective action in Eastern, Western and Central zones. South Zone was also better in action taken against active criminals. In these actions, they expressed displeasure over the less action taken by Feelkhana, Bithoor, Sachendi, Kalyanpur, Bilhaur, Govind Nagar, Naubasta, Gujaini, Gwaltoli, Colonelganj, Raipurwa, Bajaria police stations as compared to last year. At the same time, the Police Commissioner did not find satisfactory results in the cases related to crimes against women, SC-ST crimes, action against wanted accused and civil services under the CM Dashboard.
Stop the sale of liquor after the stipulated time
In the crime meeting, the Excise Department talked about getting full cooperation from the police. The Police Commissioner formed joint teams of the Excise Department and the Police Department and directed the police station in-charges to take effective action and completely stop the sale of liquor after the stipulated time. During this, the Jail Superintendent expected the government level to provide timely reports from the police stations on issues related to premature release of some convicted prisoners. The Police Commissioner directed the police station in-charge for this. At the same time, while seeking judicial custody, the prosecution branch insisted on clearly indicating the ground of arrest and the reason for arrest in every case.
Six cases of East Zone, nine of West and one of Central should be exposed soon.
The Police Commissioner directed to quickly crack the case of six cases of Eastern Zone, nine of West Zone and one of Central Zone in cases related to murder, robbery, dacoity and arson. Whereas last month, 242 inquiries have been resolved in the Eastern Zone, 333 in the Western Zone, 403 in the Southern Zone and 219 in the Central Zone.
