RTPS Service Started At Panchayat Level In Banka, Villagers Got Relief

Samvad Sutra, Jaipur (Banka). RTPS (Right to Public Service) counters have been activated in Panchayats. As per the claim made by the Minister on his official Facebook handle, now RTPS related services are being provided directly at the Panchayat level instead of the Block. This system seems to be coming on ground in Katoria block.

Different data operators have been deployed to operate RTPS services in 15 panchayats of the block. After this, the villagers do not have to visit the block or zonal office for income, caste, residence, birth-death certificate and other services.

Free applications are being taken at the Panchayat level itself, due to which both time and money of the villagers are being saved. This entire system is being continuously monitored by BPRO Upendra Kumar Verma. They are reviewing the functioning of the data operators daily, so that there is no negligence and services can be provided in a time bound manner. Villagers say that earlier for RTPS related work, they had to either go to the block office or take the help of private cyber cafes, where additional fees had to be paid. Now the general public has got great relief by getting free services at the Panchayat level itself. People are considering this initiative as an important step towards good governance, which has increased both the accessibility and transparency of administrative services. However, RTPS service has not been started yet in Jaipur Panchayat of the block. The main reason for this is the lack of a suitable government or community building in the Panchayat. Neither the Panchayat Government building has been constructed nor any such building is available where the RTPS counter can be operated at present. Despite being the last Panchayat of Jaipur Panchayat Block and located about 40 kilometers away, the villagers here are deprived of this facility. Taking this problem seriously, BPRO has directed the concerned Junior Engineer, Panchayat Servant and Panchayat Head to immediately repair the community building located at Narayanpur and make it usable. He has clarified that giving priority to building repair work, RTPS service will be started in Jaipur Panchayat as soon as possible.
