Jagran Correspondent, Sitamarhi. The District Council meeting held on Saturday at Paricharcha Bhawan located in the Collectorate was chaired by Zip President Aditi Kumari. The decisions taken in the general meeting on March 29 were unanimously confirmed in the meeting.

In the meeting, it was also decided to take a supplement by confirming all the plans for the financial year 2021 to 2025-26. During the proceedings, when the Chairman lodged an objection, the members were asked to vote by show of hands.

On this, member Naval Kishore Raut said that if majority is proved in the voting, then the Speaker should consider leaving the post on moral grounds. After this, 400 development schemes of the 15th Finance Commission, Fifth and Sixth Finance Commission with a total amount of about Rs 32 crore were unanimously approved.

Under these schemes, it is proposed to carry out construction of PCC roads, passenger sheds, public toilets, sheds in crematoriums and other basic development works in all the Zilla Parishad areas of the district. Members also alleged that even after installation of dongles, payments are delayed by the authorities, raising suspicion that the works are being deliberately stopped.
