Shameful in Rajasthan: Tantrik raped a woman in the name of having a child (symbolic picture)
Jagran correspondent, Udaipur. In Bhilwara, Rajasthan, a Tantrik raped a woman on the pretext of treatment for conceiving a child and pressurized her to convert.
The accused lured the woman into a trap by showing fear of black magic and witchcraft and continued physically abusing her for about six months. The police have arrested the accused.
According to the police, the victim was worried about not having a child for the last one year. Through his landlady, he met Tantrik Janisar alias Sonu (44).
The accused claimed to have a child through Tantra Mantra and established himself in the victim's house on the pretext of giving her an amulet. About six months ago, the accused raped the woman after finding her alone and continued to have physical relations by scaring her with his alleged tantric powers.
The victim alleges that after the incident, the accused also pressurized her to change her opinion. Following pressure from Hindu organisations, the police registered a case and arrested the accused.
