The traders met and agreed to give 25 percent of the goods and refused to take action. There are about 12 hundred bullion traders in Mathura city. More than a thousand people are associated with this business, who buy jewelery from traders and sell it in the markets of many states.
Due to being associated for a long time, business worth crores of rupees is going on on raw paper on trust. About five years ago, a businessman resident of Mahavidya Colony suddenly went missing with about 1200 kg of silver belonging to 25 traders. The traders filed a case against the businessman in Govind Nagar police station.
The missing businessman returned after about two months. Then the traders met among themselves and agreed to pay 25 percent to 25 traders.
A businessman disappeared with silver for the second time in eight years
A businessman resident of Jaisinghpur who is absconding with silver has absconded with silver worth crores of rupees for the second time in eight years. About eight years ago he had run away with 700 kg of silver. When I returned after two months, settlement was done again.
