State Bureau, Jagran, Lucknow: The main opposition party in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party, has alleged preparations to delete the names of lakhs of voters in every district in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. Samajwadi Party has been continuously making allegations after allegations since November 4.
Samajwadi Party State President Shyam Lal Pal has sent a memorandum to Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa complaining that 100 percent distribution and collection of counting forms is not being done by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in backward class, extremely backward, Muslim and Dalit dominated areas. The enumeration form is being filled and submitted in the absent, shifted, duplicate and deceased categories. Due to this, all such names will be deleted in the voter list (draft roll) to be published on 16th December.
In this memorandum submitted by party leaders KK Srivastava, Dr. Harishchandra Singh and Radheshyam Singh on behalf of the State President, it has been said that the names of 2,94,895 voters in Prayagraj and 2,17,500 in Kanpur have been put in the absent, shifted, duplicate and deceased categories. Same thing happened to 444 voters in Tirwa assembly constituency of Kannauj.
Whereas in the city western assembly of Prayagraj, 1143 voters have gone missing in the voter list of 2003 in polling place number-186. In Sambhal, pressure was put on the BLO to submit all the forms on Thursday itself. SP has demanded an investigation and amendments and changes in the calculation form.
