Suspicious Death Of Postal Distributor Of Orai's Irrigation Department: Left Outside The House In Injured Condition, Wife Accused Of Murder

Jagran correspondent, Orai. On Thursday evening, some people left an employee posted as Runner (Postal Distributor) in the Irrigation Department in an injured condition at his residence. When his wife saw her husband lying injured at the door, she informed her son and daughters. After this, with the help of some people, he was sent to the medical college for treatment where he was declared dead late in the night. The police arrived after the information and investigated the matter. The relatives are alleging murder while the police say that the employee died due to injuries in the accident.

There are residences for the employees behind the Irrigation Department office located on Jalaun Road. 51-year-old Virendra Gautam alias Munna, posted on the post of Runner (Postal Distributor) in the department, had left home on foot in the evening when the office was closed on Thursday. He was also addicted to drinking alcohol. Late in the evening, around 8 pm, some people left him in an injured condition at the door of his residence.

When wife Lata Gautam saw her husband lying injured at the door, she immediately informed her son Anant, who lives in Noida. Younger daughter Nimisha also lives in the house along with his wife. After this, the mother and daughter called some other people to the spot and took the injured Virendra to the medical college for treatment where the doctors declared him dead. After the information, Kotwali in-charge Inspector Harishankar Chand reached the spot and investigated the matter.

The wife of the deceased told the police that her husband had been murdered. Police have sent the body for post-mortem. Inspector in-charge Harishankar Chand said that the employee who was injured in the accident died due to head injury. The exact cause of death will be clear after post-mortem, after which further action will be taken.
