A truck driver died under suspicious circumstances on Sunday night during the ongoing road construction work on the Saran embankment in Diara area of Taraiya police station area of Saran district. The incident took place at a road construction plant in Rajwada, where the driver's body was found lying face down on the oil tank of his own truck. As soon as this incident came to light, there was chaos at the construction site and sensation spread in the entire area.
The driver had returned to the plant after completing the work.
According to the information received, a truck driver resident of Chunar in Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh had reached the road construction plant located at Rajwada with a GSB load. The truck was weighed there. After this he was sent to drop the goods at the construction site on Saran embankment, about a kilometer away. After unloading the goods, the driver again reached the plant, where the empty truck was weighed again.
Receipt was sent to the vehicle owner
It is being told that the driver sent the receipt of the weight to his vehicle owner through WhatsApp. After this he parked the truck in the plant premises. After the work was completed, the driver was normally present, due to which no one feared any untoward incident at that time.
Dead body found after two hours
After about two hours, when the driver was nowhere to be seen, the plant personnel called the vehicle owner and informed him about it. After this his search was started. During the investigation, the body of the driver was found lying face down on the oil tank of the truck in the plant premises itself. It is said that there were wound marks on one of his elbows and his mouth appeared to be burnt.
Taraiya police engaged in investigation
As soon as information about the incident was received, Taraiya police station incharge Dheeraj Kumar reached the spot with the police force and took possession of the body and started investigating the case. The police interrogated the personnel present nearby and inspected the incident site.
Silence spread at the construction site
It is being told that the road construction work is being done by Shriram Enterprises Company. There is silence at the construction site due to the suspicious death of the driver. At present the cause of death has not been clearly revealed. Police are thoroughly investigating the case on the basis of post-mortem report and other facts.
