Sports Desk, New Delhi. After Bangladesh's exit from T20 World Cup 2026, there are reports that Pakistan may also be out of the tournament. For this, a meeting has been held between Pakistan Cricket Board and their government. Mohsin Naqvi had recently met Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has made it clear that he will clarify on Friday or Monday whether Pakistan will play in the World Cup or not. He has also made it clear that the Pakistan team will not participate in the World Cup without the permission of the government. However, amid all this, the Pakistan team for the World Cup has also been announced.

Former Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) does not have the courage to boycott the 2026 T20 World Cup. "I don't think they can do it. I don't think they have the guts? They will come," Rahane told Cricbuzz.

An agreement was reached between BCCI and PCB in December 2024. Under this, both the countries will play ICC events at neutral venues. Both the countries played the matches in Asia Cup 2025 in Dubai. Now India and Pakistan will compete in the T20 World Cup 2026 in Colombo and Pallekele, Sri Lanka.
