Jagran correspondent, Shamli. The police have busted an interstate gang that cheated youth by promising them jobs and good salaries abroad. The accused left three youths in the forests of Malaysia on the pretext of sending them to Croatia in Europe. The accused had collected an amount of Rs 26 lakh from him in the name of completing work visa and other formalities. Based on the complaint of the victims who somehow returned, the police have registered a case against four people including two real brothers.
Hamza son Shamim, resident of Azad Chowk of Kotwali area, told in the application given to SP NP Singh that two real brothers, Navez and Savage's son Mehndi Hasan, residents of Sunna village of Kandhla, had deceived him. The accused had claimed that they have good jobs available on work visa in the European country Croatia, where they will get huge salaries. To give confidence, the accused also made them meet their third associate Ravi Singh Tomar, resident of Shamli City Market.
Heeded by his words, Hamza and his companions agreed to go abroad. The accused embezzled Rs 26 lakh from Hamza and others in the name of visa and ticket, out of which Hamza alone had given Rs 7.5 lakh. The process of cheating did not stop here. The accused handed them fake air tickets.
Hamza alleges that some of his colleagues were sent back from the airport due to fake tickets, but three youths including Hamza were taken to Malaysia instead of Croatia and released in October 2025. The youth were shocked to find themselves stranded in Malaysia. From there he somehow contacted his relatives in India and narrated his ordeal.
Finally, on December 20, 2025, the relatives called all three back to India after getting the air tickets booked at their own expense. According to Hamza, Navez, Savage, Ravi Singh Tomar and a woman along with them run an organized gang, who make innocent people victims of fraud by luring them with jobs abroad. On the orders of the SP, the police have registered a case against four people including the three named. Police is searching for the accused.
