Jagran correspondent, Jaisalmer. Tourist vehicles coming to Jaisalmer will now have to pay passenger tax. Jaisalmer Municipal Council has taken this decision. Now two new toll points will be built in Jaisalmer on Jodhpur and Barmer roads.
Most of the tourist vehicles enter Jaisalmer from these two places. This decision has been approved by the Autonomous Government Department of the State Government and will be implemented as soon as the Gazette notification is issued.
The city council in Jaisalmer has again decided to impose tax on tourist vehicles entering the city after 22 years. The tax has been fixed at Rs 50 to Rs 200 according to the category of vehicles.
