Jagran correspondent, Srinagar. Due to clear weather for the last several days, there has been a rise in day temperature in Jammu and Kashmir. In most parts of the Union Territory, the day temperature is 4 to 8 degrees above normal.

However, the night is still cool. The minimum temperature is below zero degrees in all parts of the valley. At the same time, due to the activation of a western disturbance between January 22 and 23, an alert has been issued for heavy rain and snowfall in some parts. During this period, winds can blow at a speed of 40-50 kilometers. There will be a danger of landslides and stones falling from the mountains in sensitive areas.

The weather remains continuously dry in the valley.

Chenab Valley, Pir Panjal and many districts of South Kashmir may be more affected during this period. Meanwhile, the weather remained clear in most areas of the state on Wednesday also. Severe cold continues in Gulmarg during the day and night. Due to clear weather in most parts of the state, there is no feeling of cold during the day. The weather continues to be dry in the valley.

The day's temperature rose 6.5 degrees above normal to 13.6 degrees Celsius in the capital Srinagar, 11.2 degrees Celsius in Pahalgam and 4.2 degrees Celsius in Gulmarg. There is relief from fog in Jammu for several days. Due to clear weather here, the maximum temperature rose by 4.0 degrees from normal to 22.0 and the minimum temperature was 7.2 degrees Celsius.
