Enforcement Directorate ED team raided the premises of Shubham Jaiswal, Divesh Jaiswal and Vishnu Aggarwal in Varanasi in the cough syrup smuggling case worth Rs 2,000 crore. The officers searched every corner of the houses, knocked down the walls and confiscated important documents. The Central Reserve Police Force was also involved in the investigation and the entry of media persons was banned.

Air Force jawan Adityashu Singh died in Manohar Basant village of Mirzapur Panchayat in Saran district of Bihar. Adityashu Singh, 35, fell ill while on duty in Thane, Maharashtra, where he was undergoing treatment for a brain tumor. When the mortal remains reached the village in an army vehicle, a crowd of people gathered for the last darshan. The last rites of the jawan were performed with military honors at Aami Ghat.

Bihar Panchayat Elections: Revolutionary Step Of The State Election Commission, For The First Time Voting For 6 Posts Will Be Done Through A Single EVM.

Three-tier Panchayat elections in Bihar will be held with new technology. For the first time, the State Election Commission has decided to conduct Panchayat and Municipal Body elections through Multi-Post EVMs. Voting will be held for a total of six posts of Mukhiya, Sarpanch, Panch, Ward Member, Panchayat Samiti Member and Zilla Parishad Member through a single machine. The Commission has ordered to make more than 32 thousand multi-post EVMs. All the machines will reach the Commission by April 2026.
