Deputy General Manager and senior officers of Bokaro Steel Plant will get preferred B-type accommodation. You can apply online from 27 to 29 January 2026. A total of 24 houses will be allotted on the basis of priority list by the end of February. Officials can opt for a maximum of 10 residences. Current B-type residence holders can also apply for a change.
A national level residential school will be established in Bokaro on the lines of KISS Bhubaneswar. The car of a family returning from Jalandhar to Phillaur collided with the divider, causing the railing to go through the car. This accident happened near the Army Camp when the driver could not see anything due to the bright lights of the vehicle coming from the front. A woman gave birth to a daughter in a moving 108 ambulance in Tappal block of Aligarh. An ambulance was called when a woman working at a brick kiln was in labor pain. Both mother and child are healthy, due to which there is an atmosphere of happiness in the family.
In Krishnanagar, Mathura, the Irrigation Department has become strict in removing illegal encroachments on the land of Govardhan Drainage. 70 house owners have been given notice to remove encroachment within seven days. If this is not done, action will be taken with the help of police from January 24 and the expenses will also be recovered from the encroachers. This action is being taken on the instructions of NGT and High Court.
Bhagalpur district has secured the first position in Bihar in providing benefits to mothers under Janani Suraksha Yojana. The district has sent the amount directly to the bank accounts of 3,218 mothers, while IDs of 37,134 beneficiaries have been created. The payments pending since last year were expedited through the efforts of the District Accounts Manager, ensuring payment of ₹1400 in rural areas and ₹1000 in urban areas.
In Srinagar police station area of Purnia, a cousin killed 16-year-old teenager Rahul Kumar by attacking him with a hoe while he was sleeping. The deceased was the son of Santosh Thakur. The reason for the murder is not clear yet, but the accused Sanjeev Thakur alias Golu, who is said to be a drug addict, has been arrested.
