General and reservation ticket counters have been separated at Raghunathpur railway station in Brahmapur Buxar. Railway Passenger Welfare Committee has expressed happiness over this decision. In the committee meeting, it was decided to intensify the agitation for stoppage of trains and passenger facilities. There was a demand for stoppage of Shramjeevi and Patna Banaras Janshatabdi Express at Raghunathpur station, along with restoration of facilities to senior citizens.

The police have arrested three people, including a former village head and a BJP leader, in connection with the assault on a scrap dealer and looting of Rs 2 lakh in Bulandshahr. The accused, posing as SOG team, had threatened to buy the stolen scrap. Police have recovered the looted cash, pistol-cartridges and the car used in the incident. The accused have been sent to judicial custody, and the BJP has suspended the leader from the party.
