The accused were smuggling while living in Mohali. The police are taking the main ringleaders on remand and investigating the financial transactions, so that the entire drug supply chain can be busted.

A centuries-old gold treasure was found during the excavation of a house in Lakkundi village of Gadag district of Karnataka. There were about 470 grams of gold jewelery in a copper urn buried under the soil. Prajwal Ritwik, a student of class 8, reported this honestly. Police and administrative officials reached the spot and secured the treasure. Lakkundi village holds historical importance.
The Gorakhpur-Siliguri Greenfield Expressway will directly connect Sheohar with UP and Bengal, which will lead to socio-economic development of the area. Police arrested two smugglers from Araria district, Mu. Azir Alam and Alam Khan were arrested and Bolero confiscated. This consignment was being taken from Araria to Saraigarh Bhaptiyahi. Police are searching for other gang members.
Railways has installed modern LHB coaches in place of traditional ICF coaches in Bikaner-Haridwar-Bikaner 1471714718 train. This will make the journey of passengers more comfortable, safe and faster. These coaches will operate from Bikaner from January 19 and from Haridwar from January 20. LHB coaches offer better safety, less shocks and speed capability of up to 160 kmph, which will improve the travel experience.
