Allahabad High Court has said that gambling in a public place is a cognizable offence. The court made this comment while rejecting the petition of Agra resident Kamran. The accused was arrested for playing cards in a park in Sikandra. The court said that Section 13 of the Gambling Act gives the police the right to arrest any person without warrant.
Documents of 2316 basic teachers recruited last year in Uttarakhand will be scrutinized. Irregularities have come to light in the permanent residence certificates of more than a hundred teachers. To do D.El.Ed from Uttar Pradesh, permanent residence certificate was made there and later he got the job by showing permanent residence of Uttarakhand. The department has decided to check the documents of all the teachers. So far, notices have been issued to more than 136 teachers.

Several vehicles, including seven buses and two cars, collided due to fog on Yamuna Expressway on Monday night. Four people died and more than 150 were injured in this horrific accident. A man tried to commit suicide by setting himself on fire outside the Bombay High Court on Monday. Police and passers-by immediately extinguished the fire and admitted the man, Prakash Sawant, who suffered burns to the 50's, to hospital. Sawant of Sindhudurg district had a dispute with the lawyer regarding registering the case, due to which he took this step. The police is investigating the matter

400 buses will operate from Azamgarh region to Prayagraj for Magh Mela. From January 13, buses from seven depots will serve the devotees, which will have stickers of the fair. There will be special management on Mauni Amavasya and the number of buses will be increased as per requirement.
