'Gambling In A Public Place Is A Cognizable Offence', High Court Said - Arrest Without Warrant Is Not Wrong
Allahabad High Court has said that gambling in a public place is a cognizable offence. The court made this comment while rejecting the petition of Agra resident Kamran. The accused was arrested for playing cards in a park in Sikandra. The court said that Section 13 of the Gambling Act gives the police the right to arrest any person without warrant.
