Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will lay the foundation stone of development works worth more than Rs 300 crore in Badarpur, Sangam Vihar and Deoli assembly constituencies of South Delhi. Banka Police has seized illegal English liquor worth about Rs 2 crore in two separate operations on Bhagalpur-Dumka main road. In Barahat, 10,372.50 liters of liquor being taken from West Bengal to Gorakhpur was seized, while in Rajaun, 8,179 liters of liquor being taken from Jharkhand to Samastipur was recovered from a straw truck. In both the cases, the truck drivers have been arrested and the police are investigating further.

The mortal remains of soldier Rinkhil Baliyan of Bhatail village of Hapur reached the village after he was martyred in a road accident in Jammu and Kashmir.
