A youth riding a BMW car hit policemen during checking on the Haridwar-Dehradun highway in Laltappad, Dehradun. Police raided the hotel of Trinamool Congress leader Babu Das in Bolpur in Birbhum district of West Bengal. During the raid, a large number of crude bombs were recovered from the hotel. Due to old rivalry, a youth, Mir Kumar, was murdered with a sharp weapon in Khetausa village of Lakhimpur Kheri. Bees attacked a family working in the fields in Dhanaupur village of Fatanpur in Pratapgarh.
