In Sultanpur, a case of bullying by a Thar vehicle fitted with a hooter in the name of an MLA has come to light. On Sunday night, a social worker was stopped near Bharthipur Tiwari while returning from an invitation. Unknown and named people riding Thar used indecency, abused and tried to assault him and threatened to shoot him. Lambhua CO has assured to investigate the matter and take action.

A makhane elephant died in Shyampur range of Haridwar forest division. According to forest officials, the elephant first had a fight with another elephant, after which it was attacked by the tiger in its injured state. During investigation, claw marks of the tiger were found and meat was missing from the body. The team of doctors buried the elephant's body after post-mortem. The age of the elephant is estimated to be 30-35 years.
