Citroen has announced a price increase in three of its popular cars in India – Basalt, Aircross and C3. The Basalt and Aircross have now become costlier by Rs 20,000, while the price of C3 has increased by Rs 15,000. The company has clarified that apart from the increase in prices, no mechanical or feature related changes have been made in these models.
Eight people, including an NRI family, were stuck in the lift for 35 minutes at PD CT Mall in Padrauna, Kushinagar. This malfunction occurred due to more people than the capacity of the lift. After SP Keshav Kumar took cognizance, the police and fire brigade evacuated everyone safely. The stranded people have accused the mall management of negligence.
Scooty rider Sanjeev Singh died in a collision with a roadways bus in Jalandhar on January 28. After the accident, bus driver Sandeep Singh fled from the spot. Police have registered the case and started investigation and the search for the absconding driver is ongoing. The deceased was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Of this land acquired between 1975-86, 72 acres is not in the possession of BIADA, for which the process will also start.
