According to the cyber cell, digital house arrest cases are expected to increase from 600 in 2023 to 1,200 in 2024, with over Rs 300 crore being defrauded. Fraudsters use the personal information of victims to scare them and dupe them through video calls.

Schools Closed: Cold Havoc In Patna, All Schools And Anganwadis Closed Up To 8th; Classes 10th-12th Will Run In Limited Time

Due to cold in Patna, the district administration has ordered closure of all schools up to class eight and Anganwadi centers till December 26. Classes from 9th to 12th will run from 10 am to 3 pm only. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the health of children due to cold wave. Legal action will be taken if the order is violated.

Newborn Dies After Injection, Relatives Create Ruckus In Hospital; Amroha Administration Sealed

A newborn baby was given an injection after a normal delivery in a private hospital in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, after which he died. The family members created a ruckus alleging wrong injection. Police reached the spot and took control of the situation and started investigation. The hospital has been sealed.

Punjab Weather Update: Double Attack Of Cold And Bad AQI In Punjab, Know How The Weather Will Be.

Double attack of cold and bad AQI continues in Punjab. AQI was recorded 224 in Amritsar, 241 in Bathinda, 201 in Jalandhar. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is likely to be 21.2 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 9.4 degrees Celsius. There is no hope of relief from cold in the coming days also.

Farmers Waiting For Crop Assistance Amount: Last Year's Money Not Received, Applications For New Session Started

Even after verification of crop assistance amount in Shahpur, farmers have not been paid. This year also the application portal has been opened for the farmers who were waiting for the last year's amount. According to Ravindra Chaudhary, a farmer of Sahajauli village, 9430 farmers had applied, out of which 8609 have been verified, but the amount has not been received yet. Officials are insensitive, due to which farmers are not getting benefits on time.
