Zero Poverty And Leprosy Patients Will Get Priority On Vacant Seats For Ration Cards.

In Ghazipur, there are 6221 vacant units in the urban area and 34,353 vacant units in the rural area. District Magistrate Avinash Kumar said that the benefit of these vacant units will be given in issuing ration cards to leprosy patients and those receiving shoe-sock subsidy under the Zero Poverty Scheme. Instructions were given to expedite the review of e-KYC and to conduct e-KYC of new cards issued between May 2025 and August 2025 on priority.

Incentive Amount Of Two Lakhs In Government Scheme, Bribe Of Rs 90 Thousand Demanded, Babu Of Tribal Department Caught Red Handed By Lokayukta

In Narmadapuram, Lokayukta police arrested Tribal Affairs Department Assistant Grade-2 Manoj Soni while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000. The accused Babu had asked for 50 percent commission in exchange for providing the amount of Rs 2 lakh to be given under the Inter-Caste Marriage Promotion Scheme. There was a deal to take Rs 20 thousand from the beneficiary first and Rs 70 thousand after completion of the work.
