Namami Gange Phase-2: 4 New STPs Started In Agra, Varanasi And Unnao, 50 Lakh People Will Benefit.

Important steps have been taken for Ganga-Yamuna cleanliness under Namami Gange Mission Phase-2 in Uttar Pradesh. Four new sewage treatment plants (STP) have been started in Agra, Varanasi and Unnao Shuklaganj. These projects will benefit approximately 50 lakh people and ensure treatment of waste water in rivers. A total of 74 sewer treatment projects have been approved in the state, out of which 41 have been completed, which has accelerated the prevention of river pollution.
