18 People Died, 20 Thousand Left Homeless Due To Massive Fire In Chile's Forests; Emergency Declared
At least 18 people have died and more than 20,000 have been left homeless as massive wildfires sweep through southern Chile. President Gabriel Boric has declared a state of disaster in the Nublar and Biobio regions. Due to strong winds and extreme heat, it is becoming difficult to control the fire, due to which about 8,500 hectares of land has been burnt to ashes. There is a possibility of the death toll increasing.
