In Jagdishpur, Uttar Pradesh, the education department has instructed teachers to monitor stray dogs along with teaching children. Under this order, teachers will keep an eye on the movement of dogs in schools and on the roads and will work as nodal officers. The teachers union has expressed strong protest calling it an insult to the teachers and has demanded withdrawal of the order.
In Hasanpur police station area of Palwal, a shopkeeper, Rahul, was beaten up for asking for borrowed money and goods and cash were looted from his shop. Rahul had asked for Rs 10,000 from Arjun of the village. The police have registered a case against ten people including Arjun and two women and started investigation. The injured shopkeeper is admitted to the hospital.
The Government of India has appointed Amit Kashyap as a member of the Himachal Pradesh GST Appellate Tribunal. Train operations have been badly affected due to dense fog in Ranchi.
