A house was set on fire on Saturday night in Purni Jhikti village of Garhi police station area of Jamui. Victim Nashima Khatoon cited old rivalry and land dispute as the reason, in which three people have been named. The police have detained one accused. There is an atmosphere of tension in the village after this incident, and the police is monitoring the situation.
In Bageshwar on Saturday evening, a youth, Ashok Tangadiya, jumped into the Saryu river from a foot bridge near the Bagnath temple. Luckily, a young man named Satish who was nearby saw him jumping into the river and immediately saved him. Police reached the spot after receiving the information and took the drunk youth to the police station and got him medically examined. The young man's life was saved due to Satish's alertness.
The Punjab government told the High Court that the November 2025 stamp duty notification will not be applicable retrospectively, but will be effective only on future property deals. Rewari city police station has arrested five more accused in the case of kidnapping of youth Ankit alias Chaman and murder by beating him with sticks. The police have taken them on remand for five days.

Aligarh Municipal Corporation has busted a gang issuing fake birth-death certificates. After a complaint, investigation found two fake certificates. Police have detained two suspects from Jamalpur. This fraud was being done through Jan Seva Kendra. The Municipal Commissioner has talked about strict action against the culprits and has appealed to the citizens to get the certificates made through authorized means only.
