Rehman Khan, a class 12 student, committed suicide by drinking poisonous spray after a fight with a classmate in a private school located on Nabha Road in Patiala. The family alleges that after the fight, he was under mental pressure due to threats from the police and relatives of another student. On January 16, he swallowed poisonous substance and died on January 21. Police have registered a case against the accused student, but no arrest has been made yet.
