A pick-up van carrying over 100 boxes of explosives has been seized near Palakkad town. A police officer said that more than 100 boxes of gelatin sticks and more than 20 boxes of detonators were recovered from the vehicle. The boxes of explosives were hidden under a batch of watermelons and the incident took place around 9 pm on Wednesday night.
RPF and CIB have arrested three members of the gang who stole goods worth lakhs from the family of a train driver in the Maurya Express going from Gorakhpur to Sambalpur. Two companions escaped taking advantage of the darkness. The criminals arrested include Mohammad Sultan Ansari, Lallu Dom and Imran Ansari. Stolen goods worth more than Rs 1.5 lakh have been recovered from them. This gang has also been involved in many other incidents in Dhanbad.

On the last day of Jharkhand municipal elections, 2,588 candidates filed nominations in 48 municipal corporations. Of these, 275 were for mayor-president and 2,313 for ward councillor. A total of 6,979 nominations were received, of which 3,462 are women. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on Thursday, and election symbols will be allotted on February 7.
Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation MPRDC is upgrading its Accident Response System ARS to ARS 3.0. This new version will provide faster and effective assistance in road accidents on the state highways of the state. This system, to be built at a cost of approximately Rs 9.25 crore, will be integrated with emergency services like dial 112, 108 and 100. Its objective is to accurately identify the accident site and provide immediate help to the injured, so that rescue operations can be more effective.

The nursing home and New India Insurance Company have been ordered to jointly pay Rs 23.60 lakh to the victim Shaili Sharma. Shelly became seriously infected after her intestine was cut during the operation and is still bedridden. The commission decided compensation for treatment, compensation for motherhood and mental distress.
19 minor children were rescued in a major campaign against child labor in Adarsh Nagar. Labor Department, Delhi Police and Prayas Juvenile Aid Center were involved in this action which took place in Jahangirpuri Industrial Area and Azadpur Mandi under the leadership of SDM Adarsh Nagar. Children were working 12-15 hours a day in factories and restaurants, many in hazardous conditions. FIR has been registered for violation.
